Veneers That Transform Munster, IN, Smiles

Resolving Problems and Delivering Healthy, Vibrant Smiles! Your Smile is Your Greatest Asset.

Dental Veneers Give You a Permanently Better Smile

Dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain bonded to the front surface of teeth to permanently correct cosmetic imperfections. They address discoloration, chips, cracks, gaps, and uneven shape in one or two visits. Veneers are custom-designed to match the size, shape, and shade of a patient's natural teeth for a result that looks entirely natural.

Veneers work best for patients dealing with deep staining that whitening cannot reach, chipped or cracked enamel, worn-down teeth, minor spacing irregularities, or one or two teeth that are noticeably shorter than their neighbors. Unlike a crown, veneers require minimal tooth preparation, so we preserve most of your natural tooth structure in the process. Most veneer cases wrap up in two appointments: a consultation and shade-matching visit, then the bonding appointment. For patients who want a dramatic cosmetic improvement without extensive work, porcelain veneers are often the most efficient path to the smile they want.

Experience and Artistry Behind Every Veneer We Place

Forty Years of Cosmetic Dental Experience

At Anthony Hirschenberger DDS, veneer patients in Munster benefit from more than 40 years of hands-on cosmetic dental experience. Dr. Hirschenberger holds a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a credential earned by fewer than 7% of practicing dentists in the United States. That depth of training means every veneer is designed with both aesthetic precision and long-term durability in mind.

CEREC Technology Enables Same-Visit Veneer Fabrication

Our in-office CEREC milling system lets us design, fabricate, and bond certain veneer restorations in a single appointment. No temporary veneers, no second visit for qualifying cases. That kind of convenience is something most local practices simply cannot offer.

Shade Matching Delivers a Natural, Seamless Result

Every veneer case begins with a thorough shade and shape consultation to make sure the final result blends with your natural teeth. We use a professional shade guide and digital reference to produce a custom veneer that matches your complexion, tooth shape, and smile line. The goal is a result that looks like it was always there.

Free Consultations Make It Easy to Start

We offer free smile consultations for veneer candidates, so there is no financial barrier to an exploratory appointment. You will learn exactly what veneers can address, what the process involves, and what to expect in terms of cost before you commit to any treatment.

How We Design and Place Your Porcelain Veneers

Here is a step-by-step walkthrough so you know exactly what to expect from your first visit to final placement. We keep the process straightforward and comfortable at every stage.

Step 1: Consultation and Shade Matching. We begin with a free consultation to review your smile goals, examine your teeth, and determine whether veneers are the right solution. We use a professional shade guide to identify the ideal porcelain color and shape that will complement your complexion and smile line.

Step 2: Minimal Tooth Preparation. We remove a thin layer of enamel from the front surface of each tooth receiving a veneer, typically less than a millimeter, to create space for the veneer shell. Local anesthesia keeps you comfortable throughout.

Step 3: Impression or Digital Scan. We take a precise impression or digital scan of your prepared teeth and surrounding bite. This record is used to fabricate veneers that fit your teeth exactly and align correctly with your bite.

Step 4: Fabrication. Your custom veneers are milled in-office using CEREC technology for qualifying cases or sent to a trusted dental lab. Either way, each veneer is crafted to the exact shade, shape, and size specified in your consultation.

Step 5: Bonding. We clean and condition each tooth surface, then bond the veneer using a strong dental adhesive and a curing light. The result is a permanent, stable restoration that becomes part of your tooth.

Step 6: Final Polish and Bite Check. We check your bite, make any minor adjustments, and polish the veneers to a natural finish. Most patients leave with their final result the same day for CEREC cases, or at their second appointment for lab-fabricated veneers.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Veneers

  • How Long Do Porcelain Veneers Last?

Porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 20 years with proper care. Their longevity depends on how well you maintain good oral hygiene, avoid biting hard objects, and keep up with regular dental cleanings and exams. Veneers bonded using modern adhesives are highly durable and resistant to everyday wear when placed correctly.

  • Is the Veneer Process Reversible?

Veneer placement is considered irreversible because a small amount of enamel is removed from the tooth surface during preparation. That enamel does not grow back, so the tooth will always require a veneer or similar restoration once the process begins. We discuss this fully during your consultation so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.

  • How Are Veneers Different From Dental Crowns?

A veneer covers only the front surface of a tooth and requires minimal tooth reduction. A crown encaps the entire tooth and is used when the tooth is structurally damaged or weakened. Veneers are a cosmetic solution for healthy teeth with appearance concerns; crowns are a restorative solution for teeth that need structural protection and rebuilding.

  • Can Veneers Fix Gaps Between My Teeth?

Yes. Porcelain veneers are an effective way to close small to moderate gaps between teeth without orthodontic treatment. By slightly widening the veneer shape on adjacent teeth, we can eliminate the gap and create a more even, uniform smile. We assess your spacing during the consultation to confirm veneers are the right approach for your specific case.

  • Will My Veneers Look Natural?

Custom porcelain veneers are designed to match the shade, shape, and translucency of your natural teeth. We use a professional shade guide and account for your complexion and smile line to produce a result that looks like your own teeth, only better. Most people who see the results cannot distinguish the veneers from natural enamel.
