I enjoy working on a project and achieving an end result that gives me great pride. The true satisfaction is knowing that I performed that task proficiently and to the best of my abilities. That is why I am passionate about dentistry. Having the ability to improve a person’s life is very gratifying. Enhancing health and appearance can be life-altering experiences for many patients. With proper dental care, we are able to transform a person who is insecure about his or her smile into one that exudes confidence. There is no greater reward than to be able to change a person’s life by providing them with a beautiful smile.
Every person is unique and every case is distinctive, which means the challenges I face with each are diverse. These daily challenges make life interesting and they enhance my skills. I learn something new from every patient’s case, and use this new information to make myself a better healthcare provider.
Education and Continuing Education
Education is the foundation upon which I have built my practice and established long-lasting relationships with my patients. Prior to becoming a dentist, I was a 1983 graduate of Loyola University’s School of Dentistry and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Loyola University in Chicago in 1979.
I am a board-certified fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, an honorable degree earned through extensive continuing education and evaluation. I have also attended and completed through Level IV Continuum at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Maintaining an elevated level of continuing education ensures that I can provide my patients with the most innovative, comprehensive dentistry available. The practice of dentistry is constantly changing, and it is important to stay current with the latest technologies and advancements. Continuing education is the necessary framework to help me become a better dentist and allow me to offer higher quality care to my patients.
I am honored to have served as a member of the Northwest Indiana board of directors and trustees for nearly a decade. I am equally honored to have held the position of dental director for the Lake County Indiana Correctional Facility for 16 years. My additional affiliations include:
- American Dental Association
- Indiana Dental Association
- Northwest Indiana Dental Society
- Chicago Dental Society
- Academy of General Dentistry
